We thought it would be fun to show you the faces of the staff behind the scenes of Dunmow Group and what role they play for ensuring Dunmow Group are the number one leader for waste management.
What is your job role at Dunmow Group?
I'm Stuart and I am Head of Metals at the Dunmow Group! This generally means I run the scrap metal side of the business, that is another string to our every increasing bow that Dunmow possess! I am based at our Chelmsford Mid-Essex recycling yard but we do take all grades of metal at Clacton and Colchester sites too!
What is the best part of working for Dunmow Group?
The collective ambition across the group to succeed. We have a cracking team and there is never a dull day in our world. We have a real collective ambition to succeed which creates an exciting environment to work in which I love.
What is the favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of the job is connecting with the customers. The broad spectrum of people we deal with, I really am a people person so I love all the different personalities of people who come in, fascinating.
Can you explain Dunmow in three words?
Trustworthy, Ambitious and Fun.
What is something that people don't know about you?
I very nearly got on to the first-ever series of channel 5's Big Brother show! It was Nasty Nick to get picked instead of me... probably a good thing in the end. I was also a professional rugby player briefly as well!
What's your food heaven and hell?
My food heaven would be a ham and cheese toastie! My food hell is EGGS... in ANY form!
What's the most unusual thing in your desk draw?
Right now it's a brass horn, I found it in the scrapyard and thought I'd try to play it with very little success. Should really scrap it...
When you were younger, what did you want to be?
An England rugby player!
