With two days notice, Dunmow Group provided a full waste management service for a commercial unit clearance for KN Shopfitters to make way for the new Wickes store in Chelmsford. The project lasted for 11 weeks providing waste segregated roll-on-roll-off skips, grab hire, waste collection vehicles, hazardous waste removal and skip hire.

Firstly I would like to thank Dunmow Group and especially Brendan Hill, Key Accounts Manager for an excellent job under extreme conditions. I couldn’t fault their ability to provide everything we needed for this job under one roof; our account ran smoothly, Brendan was totally on the ball, he attended the site in the first instance, liaised with my site foreman and carried out his job perfectly.

As this was a large project to refit an old Homebase store and change it to a Wickes, there was a large amount of waste to be removed over a 3-month period. As skip hire is a monumental task these days what with constantly changing laws regarding what is acceptable and what’s not - Brendan and his team delivered 100%.

We hired plasterboard skips.

We hired general waste skips on 40 yd RORO’s 2 on site at any one time of which were filled up and on turnaround /exchanges the same day and they delivered.

We had to dig out and therefore required grab lorries to remove the mezzanine floor all coordinated by Brendan and his team to perfection.

We needed to get rid of unwanted fire extinguishers again Dunmow were able to provide to assist.

We had metal skips that we received rebates on instantly.

All our invoices came through with weighbridge tickets and photos of the waste itself which in turn allowed me to keep track of everything we had had, so there were no hidden surprises. Everything was done to create a smooth and efficient job, so our site ran like clockwork and wasted trips etc were kept to a minimum.

As a shopfitting company that work country wide, we always try and use local companies to reduce our carbon footprint and 9 times out of 10 it works. I know sometimes its potluck when using people you are new too, but I can honestly say these guys were first class and would highly recommend Brendan and his team to anyone looking for an efficient skip hire company.
