Last month Ellie Gale 'Community Fundraiser', made contact with our sales and marketing team to ask if we could help St Clare Hospice with a waste clearance project.
For the past three years, we have continued to support St Clare Hospice, every December and January, Dunmow provide the charity with multiple skips for their Christmas tree collection service, taking all the trees back to our yard to be recycled.
St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides compassionate care and support to those who are facing a life-limiting diagnosis as well as their loved ones. They receive limited NHS funding, and rely a lot on donations and fundraising from the local Essex community.
To continue our support, we donated a 12-yard skip to help with their clearance project at their HQ in Harlow, Essex. During the pandemic, there was a lot of rubbish, office waste and cardboard boxes that needed to be cleared to free up storage space.

Our Facilities team have been able to undertake a much-needed spring clean of various areas of the Hospice, enabling us to free up more space for the storage of vital equipment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and to ensure that all areas of the site are safe, tidy and that space is maximised.” Ellie Gale, Community Fundraiser St Clare Hospice.
By Dunmow donating the skip, the charity's budget can be stretched and spent on other important resources such as new PPE and office organisation. As part of our core values, 'community' is built into the Dunmow Group, and we always offer to help others whenever we can. We hope by making these donations we continue to help support local charities.
