Supporting our local community is not just built within our core values, it's also the joy it brings us as a group to be able to contribute and make a difference to those around us who need that extra help.
We recently donated various gifts for kids of all ages to the Phoenix Children's Ward located locally in Broomfield Hospital. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to hand over the gifts personally, but have been assured that the donation is greatly appreciated by all the children and will help make a difference.
Yvonne Carter, Charities Support Officer for Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity said,
"Thank you so much to everyone from Dunmow Group for all your hard work and fundraising efforts on behalf of our young patients. We are immensely grateful to everyone involved in purchasing all the gifts from the Phoenix Ward’s Amazon wishlist and they will certainly bring the priceless expressions of sheer joy to a sick child. Our play specialists and staff use their understanding of children development and therapeutic play activities to help children cope with any pain, anxiety or fear they might experience during their time in hospital. So to have your help and support, particularly during this pandemic, is greatly appreciated."
